Considerations

Wadi Shab

The Wadi Shab waterfall can only be accessed by swimming through deep water in a cave. It is not recommended for people who suffer from claustrophobia or have weak swimming abilities.

Wadi Bani Khalid

Conservative swim wear is needed in Wadi Bani Khalid (covering shoulders and knees). A good idea is to wear a t- shirt and pair of shorts on top of your swimming costume.

Cattle Market

Please note that there is a cattle market at the Friday Market in Nizwa. If your dates coincide with the Cattle Market on Day 3, Day 4, or Day 5, visiting the market can be arranged.

Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque

The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is closed to visitors on Fridays. In the event that your Half Day Tour begins on a Friday, arrangements will be made to see the mosque on the following day in the morning.

Dress Code

Modest clothing must be worn when visiting the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. Men must wear long sleeved shirts and trousers. Ladies must be fully covered (including head, arms, shoulders, knees and ankles). Abayas can be rented in the reception area at entrance of the mosque.

Sur Boat Yards

The Sur Boatyards are closed on Fridays. Should Day 6 fall on a Friday, arrangements will be made to visit the boatyards on the following day (Day 7).
